Mrs. Donna Schmitz teaches the 4 and 5 year old kindergarten classes at St. John's. Mrs. Schmitz grew up in the Fox Lake area and attended Fox Lake Elementary for Kindergarten - grade 1 and attended grades 2 - 8 at St. John's. Mrs. Schmitz is a graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac.

Mrs. Schmitz received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN in 1988. She has taught grade 3 at Grace Lutheran School in Oshkosh, Wi, and grades 3 - 5 at St. John's in Fox Lake. She received the call to teach 4K (preschool) and Kindergarten in 2007.

In addition to teaching, Mrs. Schmitz also directs the Jr. Choir and plays organ at St. John's. Mrs. Schmitz's husband, Alan, is an electrician at Quadgraphics. They are the parents of 3 daughters.
